Audio processing
Audio signals, both analog and digital, often require dedicated processing; this is why signal processors have become essential components in audio production, installations, and PA systems.
Analog signal processors operate directly in the analog domain, processing the signal without any digital conversion. Typical examples are graphic or parametric equalizers and electronic crossovers for loudspeakers.
Digital signal processors (DSPs), on the other hand, work with digital signals, whether native or converted via A/D, and process them using dedicated algorithms, allowing for extremely precise signal adjustments.
